Join us for the ride of a lifetime.
Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision was established in June 2015, following the tragic death of Maddie Riewoldt from Aplastic Anaemia, a type of Bone Marrow Failure Syndrome (BMFS). The Riewoldt Family established Maddie’s Vision with the primary aim of finding a cure through medical research. Maddie bravely fought Aplastic Anaemia for 5 years. During this time, the family discovered how little there was known about the cause of this life-threatening illness and that there were very few treatment options available. Current therapies are often not well tolerated by patients and families face options that are very disruptive to daily life. Over 50% of the 160 Australians diagnosed each year will not survive.
Maddie’s Vision continues to make amazing inroads. Together with government funds, major events, sponsorships and ongoing support from people such as yourselves, over $8 million dollars in committed funds for the very best medical research has been raised since inception in June 2015.
